We look forward to meeting you

We hope you choose Clayhall Nursery and Pre-School for your childcare. We are endeavouring to become a community focal point for local parents and assist you in your busy lives by giving you peace of mind that your child is in a safe, happy, loving environment.

Your family will be part of our extended Clayhall family, where we will listen to your feedback as we continually improve our services in line with the early years curriculum. We look forward to meeting you soon!

Settling in

When your child starts at Clayhall Nursery and Pre-School, the settling in period is handled with the most loving care for your child and respect for their parents wishes. We are very flexible in our approach as we recognise that each child is different. We will ensure your child is settled in to ensure they feel comfortable and safe, plus ensuring parents are fully at ease.

Prior to starting, we have a settling in procedure. On the first day we ask that the parent stay with the child for a 2-hour period either 10am to 12pm or 2pm to 4pm. This allows the child’s relationship with the carers and other children in the room to develop and gives us an opportunity to learn your child’s routine and preferences.

Partnering with Parents

We organize events such as workshops, outings, Parents Evenings and the celebrations of Festivals. Parents are involved in planning and running these occasions and we work together as a team. The aim is for parents and visitors to get together, socialise, meet each other and share information and experiences. With this interaction between us, nursery and home life can compliment each other to ensure a good balance in learning and development for your child.

These events are intended as a time for reflecting on the aims of Clayhall Nursery’s education, children’s development, learning, play, health and other issues.

They are fun and lively with parents and visitors not only listening but actively participating and contributing. They are interactive and informative with parents hopefully taking away something with them at the end.

If you would like more information or want to suggest a new event to organise, please get in touch at info@clayhallnursery.co.uk for more information.
