Clayhall Nursery took part in the New Years Day Parade in central London. The theme of the Redbridge float was MEDIEVAL and featured St George and the dragon along with a castle. The event co-ordinator, Mr Ravi Bhanot said "The parade went really well and we all had a lot of fun doing it."
Children from Clayhall Nursery made 21 cardboard cakes in celebration and the float also boasted decorative posters and banners made by the children, as well as streamers.
Clayhall Nursery manager Claire Bond said: "Helping out was a great way for practical learning for the children, who thought, counted and painted."
It was all worth the effort as Redbridge won "best effort" award.
The annual parade was attended by thousands of people, including performers from the US and Europe and watched by 200 million on TV.
